Bank 1: 73 snaps
--------------------------------
version 1.2
Bank 2: 75 snaps
--------------------------------
version 2.0
low CPU-usage (new core-cell-oscillators)
Bank 3 : 40 snaps
--------------------------------
version 2.2 (21. April 2006)
Bank 3: 72 snaps
Bank 4: 17 snaps
--------------------------------
version 2.3 (1. Juni 2006)
now 305 snaps
lower CPU-usage
Bank 4: 85 snaps
--------------------------------
version 2.5 (8. Juni 2006)
only a comment: if you want to change the instrument bank you have to open the snapshot window (browser): have a look to the pull down menu on the top "select instrument". Change from 'ensemble' to 'modular mini 2.3' and you can choose all banks and snaps. Have fun!
I have uploaded a second midi file. I have used two MM2 in one ensemble (cpu ca. 50% on Mac g5 Dual 2.7GHz) with only two snaps.
--------------------------------
version 2.6 (9. November 2006)
now 367 snaps
Bank 5: 62 snaps

Wow, Herwig. I love your Modul ens.
But why you take this ´nasty´ colours?
Frendly greetz from Bremen
"böse" Farben - naja man trifft irgendwann Entscheidungen.
I like the colours vey much,
not that old boring reaktor style.
Fresh and new and easy to see and edit for my old eyes :-)
thanks only problem it kills my cpu even at 22000 samplerate :-(
but I´m sure I can find a way to use it
thanks for this nice creation
As far as I know, it isn't humanly possible to do this in Reaktor. Therefore, Herwig is some sort of alien being.
That was fun!!
Great work. A treat to look at (turn off all the room lights) and a marvel to hear. Good work on the presets too, instant inspiration.
I love the color scheme as well. I also appreciate the on-screen keyboard responding to key presses on my computer keyboard. This interface is one of the most amazing in Reaktordom. From what I can tell from the "factory" snaps, there are some decent sounds here too.
Danke Schön
wirklich ne mordsarbeit man siehts und
hörts
? ein Preset heisst Münster ?
warum---wohnst du da ?
Klasseteil---macht Spass,auch mit den
bunten Farben. 10 Points :-)
...great work,sounds,styling...etc...; but it's so cpu-intensive...puuh...:-)
herwig - this thing sounds great, and looks better than the first by alot. only problem is, my CPU cant take it. i lowered the voices and reduced the sample rate, but after about 5-10 minutes of playing, it shot back up. this may be a problem with the graphics modules on my machine, maybe? or perhaps you just have a bloody-good processor!
anyways, this is still quite an achievement, i must say. good work.
I just went through the snapshots and have to say that I am loving it. Musical and inspiring stuff. Thank you for sharing this. ...And the colours are nice...

snap 53 (e Organ 7) G5 2*2.7GHz (6 voices, SR 44100)
arrgh?
(what's wrong with this web site? )
... lower 45 percent
Great sounds and interface! Of course the CPU usage is high but it's pioneering ensembles like this that NI should use as a case study for optimizing the product. And once it's optimized for this kind of usage someone (possibly herw again) can push the platform even further. :D
I think i have to have some time to refresh my energy and i want to play with it.
Great design again Herwig!
@bodo: nein ich komme aus dem Ruhrpott, aber der Klang vom Snap 'Münster' erinnert mich spontan an ein Glockenspiel in Münster.
Great effort. Years of learnng possibilities just using this ens alone (just like a hardware synth). Awesome complexity.
Well done and thank you.
CPU is about 48% on my Athlon 2400, 1Gb DDR ram.
a fantastic achievement and a fantastic synth and it is FREE. wonderful
na bist du gscheid ... this is awesome.
Dear Herwig,
- Congratulations ! -
I MIGHT say that these days the oscillator-based stuff is not my kind of style.
So I MIGHT say that there won´t be that much use of it for me in the nearest future, ... but that would only take part in an ugly and senseless discussion of taste, which leads to nowhere but quarrel.
Your ensemble convinces because of
- the beauty of its concept, of which a big part is
- the easy extensibility
- the loving approach to every little detail of a wonderful user interface,
which makes it a “must 10”:
The demonstration of the difference between an application and an instrument.

:-))
Loved the first one, great tones. I can't wait to try this, thanks for sharing your art.
nice work, thanks !
bin sprachlos,
leider schafft mein G4 das nur bei SR 2205...
@ Dieter
very nice and rather enjoyable synth.
please vote!
I love this instrument, thank you for the design!
Kevin Lux
normaly i am bored of vintage-synths but this, sounds like a must-have.
much thx.
btw. point 29: well, time is more than ready for dualcore-support.
Niiiiice! You saved everyone from having to buy the Arturia modular with this...
ArrRGGGGG !!!! i can't use it with my old laptop!!! but i can't wait to try it !!
by the way ! are you really from this planet ?? lol
thank you so much for this titanic work !!
you will find a little trick to reduce the cpu-usage, Changing CoreCell-osc by Primary-level-Osc without antialaising here

"MODULAR MINI 2 - v.1.2 released" post #7
incredible, thank you
please vote! your vote is my stimulus
if i could vote again i would!! other people should vote to push this into the top 10.
there was a wrong file with version 2.1 (i uploaded one file but i downloaded three files (> 4MB) ????
now version 2.2 is correct again. There are 51 new snaps.
I love your synths,Herw. Of course it's a 'ten', as for the mini 1!
fabulous.
Klingglöckchenklingelingeling....Vielen Dank! Thank you very much!
@Christian
Bis Weihnachten ist es noch ein wenig Zeit; kauf Dir schon mal einen neuen Rechner ;-)
just saw that there is a bug in the delay module: go into the structure of
DELAY/Signalverarbeitung/Delay/bpm/BEAT/EventCoreCell
There you find the Read[] cell which is connected on top with SR.C. SR.C don't work in CoreCells (terrible mistake). No connect the input sel with clock input and all is working fine.
sorry for this bug! ciao herw
sorry i have to correct last post:
it has to be "SR.C don't work in EventCoreCells" and "Now connect ..."
beautiful concept, well executed.
i do have to post a correction though, to the guy who said this was a replacement to the moog modular from arturia--nothing in reaktor can sound like arturia's synths yet, not by a long shot.
uncredible, the first modular in the modular, thanks!
uncredible, the first modular in the modular, thanks!
many thanks for downloading and voting
my main work with REAKTOR is to create a newer version of MODULAR - but i need some time (because i have another fulltime job ;-) .

ciao herw
Awesome work. I can tell you spent many many hours on this. Only complaint is that i wish there was some documentation with it and more info when you hover the controls. I still have to give it a 10/10 though
